• Organized the Chinese Opera Festival in New York for three years, collaborated with the New York City Youth Department and the Mayor’s Immigration Office to host a program educating new Chinese immigrants on English and American history, organized the Asian Pacific Heritage Month in May at Gracie Mansion

China AIDS Foundation 2008 – 2013

• Raised over $1 million annually to aid locals in preventing AIDS, provided grants to China for AIDS programs, printed educational brochures for rural Chinese areas, funded initiatives in Henan province for AIDS orphans, and supported promotional videos featuring basketball stars Michael Jordan and Yao Ming for China’s CCTV

• Established the Chen Family Foundation and 501(c)(3), supporting locals in creating art events, such as exhibitions and cultural events
